The Lampung Regional Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate has dismantled a home-based narcotics industry producing methamphetamine and ecstasy pills in South Lampung. The illegal business was being operated across several rented units in the Natar area, South Lampung.

The disclosure was carried out by Sub-directorate II of the Lampung Regional Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate, led by AKBP Wahyudi Sabhara, at the Rajawali Residence Complex, Candimas, Natar, South Lampung. During the operation, police arrested several suspects and seized ecstasy pill-pressing equipment.

Lampung Regional Police Narcotics Director, Kombes Dodi Suryadin, explained that the discovery began following reports from the community stating that the area was frequently used for narcotics abuse. Based on this information, police immediately conducted surveillance starting on Thursday (27/08/2026).

“Our team immediately conducted observations and surveillance regarding the information from the community. Around 12:00 WIB, we approached the residence of Eka Pradinasta, 33, an entrepreneur, at the Rajawali Residence rental and secured him,” said Kombes Dodi in a statement on Sunday (30/08).

At the location, police found methamphetamine pipes, digital scales, green powder, and dozens of ecstasy pills. Following this, investigators expanded their investigation to a second location, where they apprehended a man named Andika Sandi (37) and a woman with the initials YDS (29).

“At the second crime scene, we secured AS and a woman with the initials YDS, 29,” said Dodi.

Investigators found that the perpetrators were producing the ecstasy pills themselves. Evidence seized included methamphetamine pipes, one packet of blue powder, two blue ecstasy pills, half a grey ecstasy pill, one small plastic clip containing methamphetamine, a set of ecstasy pill-pressing equipment, and three Android mobile phones.

“It was discovered that AS was pressing a number of ecstasy pills using ecstasy-based materials and a pill-pressing tool,” Dodi detailed.

Furthermore, police continued their investigation to a third crime scene, apprehending suspects Hadi Pranoto (35) and MS (21). At this location, police seized raw materials in various colours, including blue, green, pink, grey, and brown, as well as additional ecstasy pressing tools.

Dodi stated that there were a total of five search locations in this single series of operations. At the fourth and fifth crime scenes, police arrested the couples AS (36) and SF (43), as well as RS (33) and FA (28). The perpetrators, Dodi continued, were operating in very close proximity.

“All five crime scenes are located close to each other within the same block and complex,” he revealed.

The suspects and evidence have been taken to the Lampung Regional Police Headquarters for further investigation. Dodi confirmed that the authorities are still investigating the involvement of other individuals and tracing the distribution network of the products from this home industry.

“The witnesses and suspects are currently being detained, and alongside the examination of evidence, we are conducting a case review,” concluded Dodi.
