Police Discover Signs of Violence on Skeletal Remains of Woman in Depok
Police are still investigating the case of skeletal remains of a woman with initials DH (56 years old) found in conditions showing only bones at Meruyung, Limo, Depok. Police stated there are suspected signs of violence on the victim’s body.
“There are suspected signs of violence in the body,” said Cinere Police Sub-Station Commander (Kapolsek) Kompol Chairul Saleh when contacted by journalists on Monday (9/3/2026).
Police have not provided further details regarding the suspected violence discovered. However, the victim’s remains have been transferred to Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta for an autopsy procedure.
“It will be autopsied at Kramat Jati Hospital,” he stated.
Coffee Powder Found on Victim’s Body
The remains were first discovered by the victim’s child with initials R and their partner L on Saturday (7 March) at approximately 09.00 WIB. The victim’s child had come to clean the house initially.
When witness R began cleaning the bedroom, R planned to place a pile of clothing into plastic bags. At this moment, whilst uncovering a carpet over the pile of clothing, witness R spotted a pair of human feet that had already become skeletal.
Police revealed the initial identification results from the discovery of the woman’s skeletal remains in Depok. Coffee powder was found scattered on the victim’s body.
“Initial identification examination results showed coffee powder scattered on the victim’s remains,” stated Chairul on Sunday (8/3).
