Police Detain Two Teenagers Carrying Synthetic Tobacco During West Jakarta Patrol

West Jakarta Metro Police detained two teenagers found carrying synthetic tobacco during a street crime raid patrol. The patrol was conducted to maintain a conducive public security and order situation. “From the results of the inspection, officers found two individuals carrying synthetic tobacco,” said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Personnel Subdivision Kompol Anggoro Winardi in a written statement on Saturday (20/6/2026). The patrol was carried out in the early hours of Friday (19/6). Both teenagers were then detained for further examination. “Both were then detained for further examination and in-depth investigation in accordance with applicable regulations,” he said. Anggoro stated that the patrol targeted a number of points prone to public order disturbances in the West Jakarta area. He noted that officers also conducted a stationary raid in the Tubagus Angke Road area, in front of Pompa Wijaya Kusuma, Tambora, West Jakarta. “During the activity, officers carried out inspections of motorists and suspicious individuals to anticipate street crime and narcotics abuse,” he said.
