The Satbrimob Metro Jaya Regional Police, alongside the Precision Patrol Team of the North Jakarta Metro Police, conducted patrols across several locations last night. As a result, four individuals suspected of abusing narcotics and prohibited drugs were detained.

The enforcement action took place on Sunday (14/06/2026) night, while officers were inspecting vehicles in the Papanggo area, Tanjung Priok. Police discovered evidence including pipes and synthetic tobacco.

“The findings were subsequently followed up with the detention of the suspects and the evidence, which will be handed over to investigators,” said the Commander of Brimob Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Henik Maryanto, to reporters on Sunday (14/06/2026).

The police findings were based on reports from local residents. Henik emphasised that patrols will continue to ensure public safety.

“This is to maintain regional security and suppress various forms of law violations that disturb the community,” he stated.

“The presence of Brimob personnel in the field focuses not only on preventing street crime but also on narrowing the space for narcotics abuse and activities that have the potential to disrupt public order,” he added.

Furthermore, the Metro Jaya Brimob unit also provided education to the public to avoid actions that could harm the community. Residents were also urged to report any violations, such as narcotics use or brawls, to the police.

“Public reports and complaints can be submitted through the 110 Police service, which is active 24 hours a day,” he said.
