Police have designated Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan, an unregistered husband who murdered a 55-year-old woman identified as DH whose skeletal remains were discovered in Depok, West Java, as a suspect. Ahmad Ronny is currently undergoing questioning.

“He has (been designated a suspect), the criminal charges will follow later,” said Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, on Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Budi explained the motive behind the heinous murder. The suspect killed the victim because he felt angered after a quarrel in which he was evicted from the house by the victim.

“They quarrelled, the perpetrator was thrown out of the house and became angry,” he added.

Previously, police revealed the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of the 55-year-old woman identified as DH, who was murdered by her unregistered husband Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan, in Depok, West Java. The victim’s remains were discovered by her son whilst he was cleaning the house.

“According to witness accounts, the purpose of coming to the victim’s house was to continue cleaning the victim’s house in the interior area,” said AKBP Resa Fiardi, Head of Sub-Directorate of Mobile Investigation at the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

The victim’s son came to the house, which was the crime scene, located on Jalan Damai Raya RT 05 RW 11, Meruyung Village, Limo District, Depok City, on the evening of Friday 6 March.

The following day, the witness began cleaning the house’s interior by dividing tasks with his partner. One was to clean the kitchen area whilst the other cleaned the bedroom.

“As the witness began cleaning the bedroom, he planned to put stacks of clothing into plastic bags,” he added.

Whilst uncovering the carpet covering the pile of clothing, the witness suddenly saw a pair of human feet. At that time, the feet appeared to be skeletal with desiccated skin.

“The witness then reported the matter to the Village Head, and subsequently the Village Head informed the Cinere Police Station,” he stated.
