Police deploy over 300 personnel to secure president's agenda in Malang
Malang Police have deployed more than 300 personnel to secure the working visit of the President.
Malang, East Java (ANTARA) — The Malang Resort Police (Polres) deployed more than 300 personnel on Friday to secure President Prabowo Subianto’s working visit to Malang Regency, East Java.
“Polres Malang is deploying more than 300 personnel to secure the President’s working visit,” said Malang Police Head of Public Relations AKP M Budiono in Malang.
During his visit to Malang, the Head of State is scheduled to attend the TNI Sugarcane Harvest Festival held at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base in Malang Regency.
Security is focused on the President’s arrival route, the event location, and the escort of the VVIP guest vehicle convoy.
“This is to ensure the entire series of events runs safely, orderly, and smoothly,” he said.
He said the division of tasks in the security operation was adjusted according to coordination with the TNI, the Presidential Security Guard (Paspampres), and relevant agencies in the local area.
Local police called on the public to follow officers’ instructions regarding traffic access arrangements and restrictions around the event location.
Polres Malang hopes for public support so that the entire state agenda can proceed safely and in a conducive atmosphere.
Several state officials have been in Malang since Friday morning ahead of the President’s arrival, including Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, who opened the Studentpreneur Bootcamp 2026 at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono attended the inauguration of the East Java regional leadership board (DPD) of the Indonesian Farmers’ Harmony Association (HKTI) in Tajinan District.
Meanwhile, based on ANTARA’s observations ahead of the President’s arrival, members of the public gathered near the entrance gate of Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base to await President Prabowo Subianto.
Several people were also seen carrying small red-and-white flags, which they waved as the Head of State’s vehicle and entourage passed towards Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base.
