Police Criminal Division Reveals Drug Suspect Boy Transferred 1.6 Billion Rupiah to Police Officer Malaungi
Jakarta — The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri) has revealed that suspected drug trafficker Boy, from the Koko Erwin network, transferred 1.6 billion rupiah to former Narcotics Head of Bima City Police AKP Malaungi.
“From initial interrogation results, Boy admitted that he had transferred 1.6 billion rupiah over the period of May through September 2025 to AKP Malaungi,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, in Jakarta on Thursday.
He stated that Boy provided the funds to request protection related to methamphetamine distribution in the Bima area, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
He also revealed that the 1.6 billion rupiah was transferred to Malaungi in five instalments, with the following breakdown:
First transfer of 400 million rupiah wrapped in black plastic placed in front of Bima City Police Narcotics Unit office.
Second transfer of 400 million rupiah wrapped in black plastic. Boy met Malaungi at Lamboade Gym and placed the money in Malaungi’s vehicle.
Third transfer of 400 million rupiah wrapped in black plastic placed in front of Bima City Police Narcotics Unit office.
Fourth transfer of 200 million rupiah wrapped in black plastic placed by Boy behind Malaungi’s quarters.
Fifth transfer of 200 million rupiah wrapped in black plastic handed directly to Malaungi on the roadside in front of a hotel.
Boy, who was listed as a wanted person, was successfully arrested in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Tuesday (10 March). Following his arrest, Boy was brought to the National Police Criminal Investigation headquarters building in Jakarta for questioning and will be transferred to West Nusa Tenggara Police.
