As he was passing through the location, two perpetrators riding a motorcycle, believed to be a Honda Beat from the 2016 to 2021 model years, approached the victim from the opposite direction on Jalan Talang (Talang Bridge).
The first perpetrator, acting as the driver, wore a white-and-blue combination shirt, dark trousers believed to be denim, and a black helmet.
The second perpetrator, seated behind, wore a face covering or mask resembling a black buff covering half the face, a dark blue shirt, and dark blue trousers folded to a short length and believed to be denim.
One of the perpetrators then splashed acid towards the victim, striking parts of his body. As a result of the attack, Andrie sustained burn injuries to both his right and left hands, face, chest, and eyes.
