Police Continue Hunt for Ko Erwin's Drug Network
Police have not ceased developing the drug case involving Erwin Iskandar’s network, alias Ko Erwin. Although Ko Erwin, the drug lord, has been apprehended, police continue to search for other involved networks.
It is known that Ko Erwin was arrested by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, on Thursday (26/2). Ko Erwin was captured on a ship as he attempted to escape to Malaysia.
The individuals behind Ko Erwin have now become police targets. Three people already on police radar include Andre Fernando alias ‘The Doctor’ (32), A Hamid alias Boy, and Satriawan.
Bareskrim Polri has issued a wanted person status (DPO) for Andre. The issuance of Andre’s DPO status is contained in the letter DPO/32/III/Dittipidnarkoba dated 1 March 2026.
Andre Fernando is a wanted person in the narcotics case involving drug lord Ko Erwin. Ko Erwin’s case also implicates former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and former Bima City Police Narcotics Unit Head AKP Malaungi.
Andre is said to be the figure who supplied the methamphetamine purchased by Ko Erwin for distribution in the Bima area, West Nusa Tenggara. Ko Erwin is known to have conducted two transactions with Andre in January 2026.
The first transaction was worth Rp 400 million for 2 kg of methamphetamine. Then, the second transaction was Rp 400 million for 3 kg of methamphetamine received.
Two Ko Erwin Account Providers Arrested
The latest development saw police arrest two suspects who played roles in providing accounts to hold the flow of funds from narcotics transactions.
The two suspects are Muhammad Rikki (25), the account owner, and Priyo Handoko (33), who is suspected of selling Rikki’s account to other parties involved in the network, namely Andre Fernando alias ‘The Doctor’.
“From suspect Arfan’s statement, he admitted that the methamphetamine was obtained from Andre Fernando using an account in the name of Muhammad Rikki,” said Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso in his statement on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
Eko said the account was used to receive payments for narcotics from Ko Erwin’s network. Based on that information, the team led by Deputy Head of Subdirectorate IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri Kombes Handik Zusen and the NIC Task Force led by Kombes Kevin Leleury conducted an investigation.
Hunting Andre ‘The Doctor’s’ Right-Hand Man
Bareskrim Polri is pursuing Rendy Hermawan, the right-hand man of drug lord Andre Fernando ‘The Doctor’. Rendy is now on the wanted persons list (DPO).
“Rendy Hermawan, who is the right-hand man of the DPO named Andre ‘The Doctor’,” said Eko Hadi in his statement on Friday (27/3/2026).
Eko mentioned that Rendy has an important role in the drug distribution carried out by Andre. His last known position has been identified.
“His roles include recruiting syndicates to provide holding accounts for drug transactions. His last position is in Malaysia,” he explained.
Eko stated that Rendy is currently being hunted. Police have coordinated with Malaysian police to handle this.
“The Narcotics Crime Directorate has coordinated with PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police) through the International Police Division of Polri to request assistance in capturing the DPO,” he said.
The issuance of Rendy’s DPO status is contained in the letter DPO/37/III/2026/Dittipidnarkoba dated 13 March 2025. The letter was signed by Deputy Head of Subdirectorate IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri Kombes Handik Zusen, who is leading the investigation.
“Rendy Hermawan is to be monitored/arrested/surrendered/informed of his whereabouts to the investigators/assisting investigators at the above police office, with number 081385277785,” the DPO letter states.
Police have also released a photo of Rendy’s face, along with his age of 35 years and height of 170 cm, weight 70 kilograms. He is known to have straight black hair, slanted eyes, a prominent nose, and lips that are not too thick.
