Police Confirm No Official Complaint Yet Against Influencer Pandu Bone Over Alleged Promotional Fraud
BEKASI – Police have announced they have not yet received an official report regarding alleged work promotional fraud affecting several Bekasi residents.
The case involves Instagram influencer with the account @pandu.bone, Pandu Sulaeman, also known as Pandu Bone, who recently went viral on social media.
Chief of Criminal Investigation (Kasat Reskrim) at Bekasi Metro Police, AKBP Jerico Lavian Chandra, stated that to date, no victims have filed a police report.
“For the moment, no victims have filed a report,” said Jerico when confirmed by Kompas.com on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
Nevertheless, police plan to facilitate mediation between the alleged victims and the suspect to clarify the facts of the case.
“We plan to mediate and have the victims meet with the person in question on Monday, 2 March 2026. This is based on a request from the victims,” said Jerico.
One complainant, Anggi, stated that a promotional collaboration valued at IDR 1 million that had been agreed upon was not honoured. The matter subsequently went viral after he shared his experience through his personal Threads account.
“Initially I was confused about what to do. Eventually my wife and I created a Threads post. We didn’t expect the content would get this much attention,” said Anggi when met by Kompas.com at his business premises on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
He then contacted Pandu because he was believed to have a large following in the Cikarang area and surrounding regions.
Initial contact was made on 23 January 2026, with an invitation to attend a grand opening on 29 January 2026.
In initial communications, Pandu reportedly offered a promotional rate of IDR 15 million. Anggi said he was shocked and briefly considered abandoning the collaboration.
“I already said my budget was 1 million, anything beyond that we cannot afford,” he stated.
