Police complete killer driver dossier
JAKARTA: The Jakarta Police have completed the dossiers of Aradea Kusumah Diningrat, a driver who was involved in a fatal accident that claimed four lives in March.
"We submitted the dossier to the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office last week," the Jakarta Police traffic division's law enforcement unit chief Comr. Naufal Yahya said on Wednesday.
Aradea was speeding in his Honda City sedan on March 14 and slammed into a crowd of joggers on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, in front of the Bung Karno Sports Center in Central Jakarta, which is closed to cars and motorcycles on Sundays. Four people died instantly.
He was accused of violating Article 359 of the Criminal Code on causing death by negligence, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. -- JP
