Jakarta – The legal matter ensnaring digital forensic expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar is said to have reached a bright point. His legal representatives claim that the process to halt the investigation, or SP3, has now entered its final stage.

This was directly revealed by Rismon’s lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, after visiting Metro Jaya Police Headquarters. He emphasised that the process undertaken today represents the final stage of terminating the case.

“So, colleagues, today is the finalisation of the SP3. Once again, I say, finalisation of the SP3. Meaning it’s already final,” stated Jahmada on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.

Nevertheless, his side is still holding back from disclosing details regarding the SP3. Jahmada said that the police will first provide an official statement before his team offers a comprehensive explanation.

“Tomorrow, the Dir will release it first, then 15 minutes later we will release it in full,” he said.

Behind this process, Jahmada revealed that the resolution of the case was pursued through legal mechanisms, including the submission of restorative justice which has been ongoing since 3 March 2026. He claimed that a peaceful agreement with the complainants has been reached.

“Approximately 1.5 months since our client’s submission of Restorative Justice. But we’re grateful, all that journey was undertaken in accordance with legal procedures,” he said.

Interestingly, in the follow-up agenda, the legal team plans to present the complainants, namely Lechumanan, Maret Samuel Sueken, and Andi Kurniawan. There is even a possibility that the legal representatives of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, will be invited. However, when asked further about documents or details of the agreement, Jahmada remained brief in his response.

“What’s clear is that it’s final today,” he said with a smile.

Meanwhile, another member of the legal team, Andi Azwan, gave a strong signal that the restorative justice process proceeded without significant obstacles. He described the outcome through the visible situation among his team.

“If you look at our faces here, we’re all smiling, which illustrates what the result is like,” said Andi.

He also expressed appreciation to the investigators at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, including the Director of General Criminal Investigation, Commissioner Pol. Iman Imanuddin, who is considered to have handled the case professionally.

Previously reported, efforts at reconciliation in the polemic of allegations regarding the diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo alias Jokowi, continue to unfold. Although the suspect, digital forensic expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, has reconciled with Jokowi’s camp, the legal process has not fully stopped.
