Police Claim Situation in Tente Village, Bima, Already Conducive Following Clashes Between Residents
Bima Regency Police (Polres Bima) claim that the situation in Tente Village, Woha District, is already conducive following clashes between residents. The clashes occurred on Wednesday (18/3/2026). “It’s already conducive,” said the Head of Operations Section (Kabag Ops) of Polres Bima, Kompol Iwan Sugianto, to detikBali. Iwan stated that Polres Bima immediately deployed to the location when the clashes broke out to disperse the two groups of residents who were attacking each other and throwing stones on the main road. Police also opened several road accesses that had been blocked by the masses. “Everything is normal now. The road accesses have also been opened earlier,” Iwan said. Polres Bima, according to Iwan, is still maintaining a guard around the location to prevent follow-up clashes. In addition, police are conducting persuasive approaches to representatives of the two resident groups to restrain themselves and not attack each other again. Iwan revealed that several residents were injured from being hit by arrows and stone throws during the clashes. They are currently undergoing medical treatment at the Woha Community Health Centre. However, Iwan has not yet ascertained the exact trigger of the clashes. Based on preliminary information, the clashes are suspected to have started from an assault case a few days earlier.
