JAKARTA - Indonesian Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has reminded all stakeholders to remain vigilant against global escalations that could potentially affect domestic conditions, including national economic stability.

The warning was delivered by Sigit after attending an inter-ministerial and agency coordination meeting discussing developments in the global situation and their impacts on Indonesia.

“We must continue to stay alert to the existing escalations so that all achievements that have been implemented and carried out by the government can be maintained,” said Sigit during a press conference at Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

In the meeting, leaders from ministries and agencies presented the latest conditions and mitigation steps prepared to address potential future risks.

Sigit assessed that cross-sector coordination is crucial and strategic to ensure all government policies run optimally.

He added that although the national economy is still deemed to have good resilience, anticipatory measures must be strengthened to face evolving global dynamics.

Furthermore, Sigit stressed the importance of sustainable risk mitigation.

According to him, this is to minimise the impacts of global pressures and prevent disruptions to ongoing development programmes.

“And alhamdulillah, with the overview we obtained, we certainly have a picture to then carry out mitigation against various issues ahead,” he said.

“Especially in maintaining our economic growth, which is currently at 5 percent, and the government continues to push for this to keep growing,” he added.

The meeting was attended by, among others, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chair of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Friderica Widyasari Dewi, and Pertamina.
