After concluding Ramadan Safari, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo continued his schedule by visiting Kedai Ado Presisi. He used the moment to interact directly with online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol).

Kedai Ado Presisi is located on Jalan Hockey, Lorok Pakjo, Palembang, South Sumatra, on the Saturday evening of 7 March 2026. General Sigit was accompanied by several senior officials of the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, including Kabaintelkam General Commissioner Yuda Gustawan, Dankor Brimob General Commissioner Ramdani Hidayat, and Head of Public Relations Division General Inspector Johnny Eddizon Isir.

The Kedai Ado Presisi, built on a 199 square metre site, serves as a hub for the Sumatra Selatan Online Drivers Association (ADO Sumsel). The Police Chief inspected the facilities, ranging from indoor and outdoor spaces, the members’ rest area, to a motorcycle workshop for partner drivers.

The land belongs to M Asrul Gunawan, who is also chairman of ADO Sumsel. Previously, the site functioned as the ADO Sumsel Secretariat Office before being developed into a Kedai Ado Presisi unit.

Kedai Ado Presisi sits beside the Traffic Directorate of the South Sumatra Regional Police. It operates under the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Sumsel), built as a gesture of care for online drivers and other community drivers. The Kedai serves as a place for interaction, meetings, and kamtibmas activities, and to build synergy between ojol partners and other communities with the police.

In a relaxed atmosphere, General Sigit took the opportunity to dialogue with representative drivers from various apps, including Gojek, Grab, Maxim, and Shopee. This interaction was used by the Police Chief to hear directly the challenges faced by drivers in the field, particularly concerning safety and comfort while working at night.

“There is information, and Kedai ADO Presisi is usually used to serve our ojek friends. Therefore, today I want to know, earlier we came in and talked with friends from online ojek to understand their daily lives, then what is needed, especially from the police, and also things we might bring to the centre regarding hopes and complaints from our online ojek friends,” said General Sigit.

As a show of care, the Police Chief distributed 50 aid packages to the ojol community at the location. This visit is part of the Police’s ongoing effort to stay connected with all segments of society, including informal-sector workers who play a major role in regional economic activity.
