Medan (ANTARA) - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has urged owners or managers of tourist sites, particularly water attractions, to pay close attention to all forms of security for tourists during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday. “Please ensure thoroughly the safety of the public who will engage in tourism activities, especially at water attractions,” the Police Chief said after inspecting the Integrated Eid Post for 2026 in Medan on Friday (20/3) night. He requested that managers prepare safety equipment and monitor visitor capacity. According to him, capacity must be heeded because during the national holiday, many people take the opportunity to go on tours, including to water attractions. “The safety of the public who are touring, especially at water attractions, must be properly addressed,” he stated. On this occasion, the Police Chief directly inspected the security arrangements for the national Takbiran Night of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H from Medan, North Sumatra. The Police Chief affirmed that the entire Indonesian National Police force, together with all relevant policymakers, is on full alert to ensure that the entire series of victory nights runs safely and orderly. “In the implementation of security for this night, 72,016 personnel have been deployed to guard approximately 1,435 crowded points. We are monitoring around 690,735 people who are active outside their homes,” he said.
