Semarang — Indonesia’s Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has requested all officers and operators of the Kalikangkung toll gate in Semarang to provide the best service during the peak Lebaran exodus 2026, which is expected to occur three days before Eid (H-3) on 18 March 2026.

“The Kalikangkung toll gate is a priority for service during the Lebaran homecoming period,” said the Police Chief in Semarang on Monday.

The toll gate, he continued, is a central entry point to Central Java.

Various service innovations, he noted, have been prepared by the police, ranging from traffic management and motorcycle shuttle services for homebound travellers, valet and ride facilities, to the Si Polan application, which provides direct interaction services to help travellers understand the traffic conditions they will encounter.

“These services complement the 110 emergency service,” he added.

He expressed hope that conducive conditions during the Lebaran exodus can be maintained. He stated that prominent traffic accident incidents can still be prevented.

“In the run-up to Eid, it is hoped that traffic accident numbers can be kept lower than last year,” he said.
