Police Chief Receives Adhi Bhakti Senapati Award, Motivation to Strengthen Cyber Security Synergy

The awarding ceremony was held symbolically at the BSSN office in Depok on Wednesday (6/5/2026). BSSN Chief Nugroho Sulistyo Budi personally pinned the honour badge to the Police Chief. General Sigit stated that the award serves as an important moment to enhance collaboration between Polri and BSSN. This aligns with the President’s directives emphasising the importance of unity and synergy in facing various threats to the nation and state. “For me, this is an extraordinary award. It serves as motivation for us all to continue improving collaboration and synergy. Moreover, the President has conveyed that we must unite in facing various challenges,” said General Sigit in his statement on Thursday (7/5/2026). General Sigit revealed that threats in cyberspace are one of the greatest challenges ahead. Therefore, strategic steps are needed, including improving digital literacy to enforcing the law against cybercrime perpetrators. “We must together safeguard cyberspace, starting from literacy, strengthening human resources, building security systems, to enforcing the law against cybercrime perpetrators,” he stressed. On the other hand, he also emphasised the importance of synergy between Polri, BSSN, TNI, and all stakeholders in maintaining state sovereignty, both in terms of cyber security and defence. “Collaboration and synergy are the keys to success in maintaining sovereignty in the field of security,” he concluded.
