Police Chief Receives Adhi Bhakti Senapati Award from BSSN for Cybersecurity Contributions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received the Adhi Bhakti Senapati honour from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) for his contributions to security and defence, particularly in strengthening inter-agency collaboration in the cyber space.
The Police Chief stated that this award serves as an important moment to further encourage him to enhance collaboration between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and various parties, including BSSN.
“Especially since the President (Prabowo Subianto) has stated that we must unite in facing various challenges,” said Listyo Sigit, quoted from an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The leader of the Bhayangkara Corps said that threats in cyberspace are one of the biggest challenges ahead.
Therefore, according to him, strategic steps are needed that include increasing digital literacy, strengthening the quality of human resources, building reliable security systems, and enforcing the law against cybercrime perpetrators.
“We must together safeguard cyberspace, starting from literacy, strengthening human resources, building security systems, to enforcing the law against cybercrime perpetrators,” he said.
In addition, he also emphasised the importance of synergy between Polri, BSSN, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and all other stakeholders in maintaining national sovereignty from the aspects of cybersecurity and defence.
“Collaboration and synergy are the keys to success in maintaining sovereignty in the field of security,” he said.
