Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has assured that his subordinates are continuing to pursue the acid attack case that befell Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) Andrie Yunus. Listyo Sigit stated that the in-depth examination of dozens of surveillance camera recordings (CCTV) is currently underway. The Police Chief described this step as a follow-up to direct instructions from President Prabowo Subianto to uncover the case thoroughly. “Yesterday, the President clearly ordered us to pursue it to the end, of course, the Indonesian National Police is currently working on it,” said the Police Chief when met during the Indonesian National Police Precision Free Homecoming Programme 2026 at the Precision Field of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3). Furthermore, the Police Chief revealed that 86 CCTV recordings have been collected and are currently being analysed to uncover the perpetrators and the chronology of the incident. “Clearly, we will not stop there,” he said. In addition to the CCTV examination, the Indonesian National Police is also continuing to gather various other pieces of evidence to strengthen the investigation. The aim is for the case, which is currently still a mystery, to find some clarity. “We are also seeking sources of information, other evidence, other physical evidence, which we will then compile to truly be able to reveal this case, or at least make it crystal clear,” said Listyo Sigit. The Police Chief emphasised that the entire police force is currently working to accelerate the revelation of the case. He hopes the case can be resolved well. “I think at the moment all our members are working and please pray that the results can be obtained soon,” he said.
