National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo this evening directly led the monitoring of security for Takbiran Night of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H on a national scale from Medan, North Sumatra. Accompanying the Police Chief at the location were, among others, Brimob Corps Commander Police Commissioner General Ramdani Hidayat, Police Chief’s Logistics Assistant Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan, and Police Public Relations Division Head Inspector General Jhonny Edison Isir.

Also present at the location was the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra Surya along with the North Sumatra Forkopimda. Among them were I/Bukit Barisan Regional Military Commander Major General TNI Hendy Antariksa and North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto.

This agenda was also followed virtually from the Metro Jaya Regional Police. Those present included Deputy Police Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, BMKG Head Teuku Faisal Fathani, BNPT Head (Ret.) Commissioner General Eddy Hartono, Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, and Police Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho as the 2026 Ketupat Operation Special Operations Head. Also present were representatives from the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Tourism, and others.

This agenda was also followed virtually from all regions of Indonesia by Governors, Regional Military Commanders, Regional Police Chiefs, Mayors, Regents, District Military Commanders, Police Resort Chiefs, and Forkopimda throughout Indonesia. This monitoring agenda was held to ensure that security for Takbiran Night up to the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebration runs conducively and safely on a national scale.

Commencing the event, the Police Chief received the latest reports on the public security situation and traffic conditions throughout Indonesia from Police Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho. Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri also delivered the latest report on the security situation in the Jakarta area.

After receiving the briefings, General Sigit also gave directions to all ranks. In his directions, the Police Chief emphasised the importance of security in all sectors, particularly at places of worship. General Sigit instructed everyone to ensure that the public can celebrate Takbiran Night up to the Eid Prayer implementation safely, comfortably, and orderly.

The Police Chief instructed field ranks to be quick in anticipating potential security disruptions or congestion at mass gathering points. He emphasised the spirit of serving the community humanely.

The Police Chief, along with the TNI Commander and BMKG Head, also engaged in an interactive dialogue to ensure security in Central Java, Riau, to South Kalimantan regions remains conducive during Takbiran Night up to the Eid al-Fitr 2026 celebration tomorrow.
