Police Chief Meets Attorney General, Affirms No Issues Between Institutions

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo met with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin at the Attorney General’s Office in South Jakarta. General Sigit confirmed there are no issues between the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office. “What is clear, I want to confirm here, especially as we are present together between the Attorney General and all senior officials of the Adhyaksa Corps. I am accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Police and senior officials of the National Police Headquarters. We both agree and convey to all ranks that there are no problems between the two institutions,” said the National Police Chief at the Attorney General’s Office on Monday (13/7/2026). General Sigit stated that the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office agreed to continue maintaining good relations. According to him, the results of the meeting with the Attorney General will also be followed up by their ranks at the provincial and district levels. “Because we realise that there are many government programme agendas that we must protect and safeguard, as all of this is certainly our shared hope to become beneficial programmes for the community, making Indonesia much better, and that is certainly determined by stronger solidity and synergy,” said the National Police Chief. “Once again, there has never been a problem between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police,” he added. Echoing the National Police Chief, the Attorney General also stressed that his office would continue to synergise with the National Police. According to him, the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police share the same goals for the community. “We are one unit whose goal is to provide a sense of security in the community, a sense of presence in the community. We have the same goals and we cannot be separated,” he asserted.
