JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo outlined the various efforts undertaken by the Indonesian government under President Prabowo Subianto to help resolve the escalating global conflicts.

The President nearly every day engages in discussions with several countries, both in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, to discuss strategic steps so that global escalation can be brought under control.

‘Mr. President is every day in constant discussion with several countries, both in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, to discuss how this rising global escalation can be contained as soon as possible,’ Sigit said at a Ramadhan gathering at the West Java Regional Police on Wednesday (4/3/2026).

‘Then we want the global situation to be resolved soon,’ Sigit added.

Sigit emphasised that the Indonesian government continues to pursue an independent and active foreign policy as a non-aligned state in order to create world peace.

‘The government is, of course, continuing to strive to actively help resolve the existing conflicts so that peace can emerge,’ Sigit said.

In addition to external diplomacy, Sigit said Prabowo is also continuing internal consolidation and receiving various inputs from many parties regarding the global situation and mitigation steps.

‘On one hand we face the escalation and its impacts, which, if not managed well, will certainly affect the economy, and if it cannot be safeguarded, will inevitably lead to social problems,’ Sigit concluded.
