During the event, the Indonesian Police also demonstrated the capabilities of new equipment claimed to protect members from arrow attacks.
“How to ensure that when there is an attack, one of which in areas where conflicts often occur, which often use arrow weapons, it was demonstrated earlier and Alhamdulillah with the new equipment, our members can avoid the potential if there is an arrow attack,” said Sigit.
Not only that, Sigit said that Indonesian Police members also need to be equipped with protection against other threats that often arise during mass security or social conflict handling.
“This is all meant so that members can truly appear confident, especially in carrying out their activities to provide a sense of security for the community facing various kinds of potential risks and threats that will be faced,” Sigit remarked.
In addition to introducing new equipment, the Indonesian Police also distributed around 430 operational vehicles at the coordination meeting.
The vehicles consist of motorcycles, electric patrol cars, ambulances, to vehicles used for flood handling and patrols in conflict areas like Papua.
