Police Chief Expresses Continued Support for Workers' Welfare

“We will continue to support programmes related to assistance for workers regarding rights that must be continuously safeguarded and protected,” the police chief said, as quoted from an official statement.

He expressed hope that harmonious industrial relations would be created in the future, where companies operate well and workers prosper.

In addition, the police chief emphasised that the Polri Manpower Desk will continue to provide the best services, particularly to assist workers affected by layoffs.

“The Manpower Desk will certainly continue to optimise assistance, including seeking the necessary solutions so that fellow workers always receive support and certainty for their future,” he said.

The four-star general invited all elements of the workforce to support government programmes in the manpower sector, which are expected to open up more job opportunities.

“One of them is programmes aimed at creating jobs, both formal and informal, downstreaming programmes, as well as other initiatives that are expected to provide opportunities for the public. The hope is that the availability of jobs will generate a multiplier effect on economic growth,” he said.

On the other hand, Listyo also encouraged workers to show the world that Indonesia is a country that is friendly to investors.

“Professional and mature workers will certainly create a comfortable investment climate for incoming investors,” he said.

As part of the KSPSI anniversary series, several activities were held, including social health services, blood donation drives, and the renovation of uninhabitable workers’ homes.
