Police Chief committed to creating a conducive investment climate through solidarity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a conducive investment climate by strengthening solidarity with workers.
Sigit conveyed this after attending the Halalbihalal Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah event with the extended family of KSPSI AGN (All-Indonesian Labour Confederation led by Andi Gani Nena Wea) at PT KMK Global Sports in Tangerang on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, Sigit stated that the halalbihalal event was one of the efforts to build solidarity and foster relations with labour groups.
He noted that solidarity from all parties is crucial to address the uncertain global conditions due to the war in the Middle East region.
Solidarity and synergy between entrepreneurs and workers is one of the measures that must be taken to ensure that Indonesia’s investment climate remains conducive.
“Of course, a conducive investment climate needs to be created. Therefore, we agreed earlier to encourage everyone to work together to maintain synergy between entrepreneurs and workers,” he said.
In addition, Sigit hopes that existing industrial issues can be resolved well between companies and labour unions.
“We show the world that Indonesia is capable of resolving industrial disputes properly,” he stated.
Furthermore, the leader of the Bhayangkara Corps invited all labour groups to celebrate Labour Day, which falls on 1 May, in a safe and orderly manner.
The police, he said, will guarantee the right to express opinions in Labour Day activities, which serve as a commemoration of the global and Indonesian workers’ struggles.
“Let us celebrate this birthday well, safely, and orderly. We show the world that Indonesian workers and entrepreneurs are united and ready to provide space for investments entering Indonesia,” he said.
