Police Bust Illegal Hard Drug Distribution in Bekasi, Thousands of Tramadol Tablets Seized
Police have dismantled an illegal hard drug distribution ring in Banjarsari Village, Sukatani Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency. Thousands of Tramadol and Hexymer tablets were seized by the police.
The case was cracked by officers from Sukatani Police Sector on Saturday night (18/4/2026), following information received from the public. From the investigation at the location, police secured two individuals.
“Officers conducted undercover operations as part of the investigation efforts. Upon arriving at the site, the team successfully apprehended two suspects believed to be distributing hard drugs including Tramadol and Hexymer without permits,” stated Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Sumarni in her statement on Monday (20/4).
The two arrested individuals are initialled KS and SR. From them, officers seized evidence consisting of 2,018 Hexymer tablets, 1,500 Tramadol tablets, 800 clear clip plastic bags, and two mobile phones suspected of being used to facilitate transactions.
From initial examinations, both suspects admitted that the seized items originated from a man initialled S alias Bolong, who is currently being pursued by officers. Police are continuing to develop the case to uncover the broader drug distribution network.
“This bust demonstrates our commitment to cracking down firmly on all forms of illegal hard drug distribution that pose a potential danger to the public, especially the younger generation. The case is still under development to reveal other suspected parties,” she added.
Currently, the two suspects have been secured at the Sukatani Police Sector headquarters for further investigation and prosecution. The police also urge the public to report any suspicions of illegal hard drug distribution or other criminal acts via the 110 police hotline, to maintain a safe, orderly, and conducive public security and order situation.
