Police Bust Crystal Meth Case in Serang Following 110 Emergency Call Report

Residents of Cikande, Serang Regency, reported a house suspected of being used for drug trafficking. The Serang Police subsequently raided the premises and arrested a crystal meth dealer identified by the initials IM (24).

Serang Police Chief AKBP Andri Kurniawan stated that the exposure of the case originated from a report made through the 110 call centre. Police then followed up by visiting the location.

“The disclosure of this case is a follow-up to information from the community submitted via the 110 call centre. Every piece of incoming information will be followed up professionally and swiftly,” said Andri Kurniawan on Tuesday (9/6/2026).

The Narcotics Unit’s Operational Team, led by Ipda Ricky Handani, conducted an investigation. As a result, officers carried out a raid and arrested IM in the early hours of this morning.

Officers found six packets of crystal methamphetamine hidden in the kitchen area of the house. Police also seized other evidence suspected to be related to drug trafficking.

“From the results of the search, officers found six packets of crystal meth along with equipment suspected to be used for drug trafficking activities. All evidence has been secured for investigation purposes,” said Andri.

IM and the evidence have been taken to the Serang Police Headquarters for further examination. Investigators are also looking into the network that supplied the narcotics to the suspect.

Head of the Narcotics Unit, AKP Bondan Rahadiansyah, stated that the suspect admitted to obtaining the crystal meth from a man with the initials NT. Currently, NT has been placed on the most wanted list (DPO).

“According to the suspect’s confession, the crystal meth was obtained from an individual named NT, who is located in the West Jakarta area. We are currently developing the case to uncover the higher-level network while simultaneously pursuing NT,” explained Bondan.
