Police Arrest Unregistered Husband of Woman Found Dead as Skeleton in Limo, Depok

Depok — Police have arrested ARH (44), the unregistered husband of a woman with initials DH (56) who was discovered dead as a skeleton at a residence in Limo, Kota Depok.

ARH was arrested in the Jatimulya area, South Tambun, Bekasi Regency.

“Suspect ARH, who was the unregistered spouse of the victim, was secured by the Sub-Directorate 3 of the Mobile Criminal Unit at Metro Jaya Police on 8 March 2026 at 3:30 PM (WIB),” said Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, when contacted by journalists on Monday (9/3/2026).

He was reportedly aggrieved after the victim evicted him from the house. The suspect is currently undergoing intensive investigation by the Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Police.

“The preliminary motive is believed to be motivated by economic problems,” Budi stated.

Previously, DH’s remains were discovered hidden beneath a pile of clothing and a carpet on the floor of one of her daughter’s bedrooms, identified with the initial L.

The incident began when L and her boyfriend, R, visited DH’s house in February 2026 to clean the residence. This was done after receiving information that the victim had travelled to Sukabumi, West Java.

At that time, L did not have a spare key, so she forcibly broke open the padlock on the house gate. After succeeding, she found the house door unlocked and discovered that the interior of the house was in disarray.

“Witnesses also observed that L’s bedroom contained piles of clothing on the floor; at that time, they did not harbour any suspicions because they did not detect any strange odour,” the police spokesperson explained.

On that day, L and R decided to clean only the house’s exterior area. Both returned to the house on Friday (6/3/2026) around 11:00 PM (WIB) to continue cleaning the interior of the house.
