Police Arrest Two Suspects in Jakarta East Motorcycle Showroom Kidnapping Case

The incident began on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Wijoyo Motor Showroom in Cakung, East Jakarta. Police received a report via the ‘Bang Resmob’ WhatsApp application regarding alleged kidnapping, hostage-taking, and assault by the victim’s parents at the location.

After receiving the report, Unit 3 of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Satresmob), led by AKBP Reinhard H Nainggola, arrived at the scene. Police successfully located the victim.

“(Police) managed to find the victim, RN, who was being held captive on the second floor of the Wijoyo Motor Showroom, Jalan Raya Rawa Kuning Pulo Gebang, Cakung, East Jakarta,” said Head of Satresmob at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency, Kombes Teuku Arsya Khadafi, in a statement on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Unit 3 of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency secured two suspects, identified as AB and R. Evidence seized includes three mobile phones belonging to the suspects and a written statement regarding the incident.

“Unit 3 of Satresmob conducted further investigation into the incident and successfully uncovered the case involving the alleged criminal act,” he explained.

Unit 3 of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency handed over the victim, the suspects, and evidence to the Cakung Police Station, East Jakarta Metropolitan Police, and the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police for further investigation.
