Police arrest two over 'shabu-shabu'

TANGERANG (JP): Officers of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport police subprecinct arrested two men at the airport for possession of at least one kilogram of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) on Thursday night.

An officer of the subprecinct, First. Brig. Supriyanto, identified the suspects only as Edk, 30, and Str, 29, who were to board a Garuda Airlines flight bound for Surabaya, East Java.

The men were arrested at about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

"The men had the shabu-shabu packed in local coffee packages, hidden in their luggage. The psychotropic substance was detected via the normal X-ray baggage check," Supriyanto told reporters.

Both men are being questioned in connection with the case. (ylt)
