A police team arrested early on Wednesday morning two men suspected of involvement in the J.W. Marriott Hotel bombing on Aug. 5 this year.
The two men, who were apprehended in a room in the budget Gunungsari Hotel on Jl. Tentara Pelajar in Cirebon, are Tohir alias Masrizal, 29 and Ismail alias Ricky Putranto, 26.
They come from the West Sumatra capital of Padang and the West Java capital of Bandung respectively.
Comr. Sunaryono, the Cirebon Police chief, said that his officers had also recovered four homemade bombs from the two.
Asked by reporters on the suspected roles the two men had played in the Marriott bombing, the police chief said that the team of detectives from National Police Headquarters were still investigating this.
"However, they are definitely suspected of involvement in the Marriott bombing," Sunaryono confirmed.
He said the two men had been brought to Jakarta for further questioning right after their arrest.
The J.W. Marriot bomb blast killed at least 12 people, including the suicide bomber, and injured dozens of others.
Prior to the two arrests in Cirebon, the Indonesian Police had arrested 10 suspects in the J.W. Marriott bombing.
