Police Arrest Two Liberian Nationals in Black Dollar Counterfeit Money Scam Case

Jakarta Barat Metro Police arrested two Liberian nationals suspected of involvement in a counterfeit money scam using the black dollar or black dollar method. The two Liberian nationals, with initials SDT and I, were apprehended in an apartment in the Jakarta Barat area on Wednesday (18/3). “That’s correct, two Liberian national suspects were secured in an apartment in Meruya, Kembangan, Jakarta Barat, for a scam using the black dollar method,” said Kasubbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Andaru Rahutomo to reporters on Thursday (26/3). In the circulating arrest video, the two suspects were captured while eating in a room inside the apartment building. During the arrest, police also seized a suitcase containing one bundle wrapped in brown paper, suspected to contain black dollar liquid. After the arrest, the two Liberian nationals along with the evidence were taken to Jakarta Barat Police Resort for further examination. “Currently, the two suspects are undergoing investigation by the Satreskrim of Jakbar Police Resort,” Andaru stated.
