Police Arrest Two Illegal Drug Sellers in Bekasi, Seize Over a Thousand Pills
The narcotics unit of the Bekasi Metropolitan Police has arrested two men, identified by the initials BM and AG, for selling illegal drugs in Cibarusah, Bekasi Regency. A total of 1,232 pills classified as List G were seized.
The suspects were apprehended in the Sindangmulya area of Cibarusah on Monday (15/6/2026). The case came to light following a public report about the suspected circulation of List G drugs in the area.
“Based on information from the public, officers conducted an investigation and managed to secure two individuals suspected of being involved in the distribution of List G drugs without a distribution permit,” said Bekasi Metropolitan Police Narcotics Chief AKBP Hannry Tambunan in a statement on Tuesday (16/6).
During the operation, police confiscated evidence including 540 Tramadol pills, 692 Eximer pills, two mobile phones, several plastic clips, a black wallet, and Rp 615,000 in cash.
“Based on initial interrogation, the two men admitted to obtaining the drugs from a person with the initials AGM. AGM is currently being hunted and has been placed on the wanted list,” he stated.
Police are continuing their investigation to develop the case and pursue the supplier. Both suspects and the evidence have been taken to the Bekasi Metropolitan Police headquarters for further processing.
“Both are suspected of violating regulations concerning the distribution of pharmaceutical preparations without a distribution permit, as stipulated in the Health Law,” he added.
The Bekasi Metropolitan Police urged the public to actively provide information if they become aware of the circulation of illegal drugs or other criminal activities in their neighbourhood.
