Police arrested two DJs in the Sunter Agung area, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, in connection with alleged methamphetamine abuse.

The two suspects, identified as LL (39) and W (39), were apprehended along with evidence comprising two plastic packets containing methamphetamine, one transparent clip packet containing inex, and one mobile telephone, according to AKP Trendy Habibie, head of the narcotics unit at Tanjung Priok Port Police Station, in a statement to journalists on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

The arrest took place in the early hours of Tuesday, 17 February. Habibie explained that the operation began after officers received community information regarding drug trafficking in the area.

“Subsequently, our operational team conducted an investigation at the location and managed to apprehend two individuals,” he stated.

Investigators conducted a search immediately following the arrests. During the operation, they discovered several packets of narcotics in the suspects’ possession.

“The search yielded two plastic packets containing methamphetamine with a total gross weight of 0.97 grammes, one transparent clip packet containing inex, and one mobile telephone,” Habibie said.

Investigators then launched a further inquiry. The investigation revealed that the narcotics were intended to be delivered to another individual now listed as a fugitive on the police wanted list.

“The suspects and evidence were subsequently transferred to Tanjung Priok Port Police Station for further processing,” he concluded.
