Police Arrest Three Mass Organisation Members for Attempting to Seize Shop House in Surabaya

Police have detained three individuals from a mass organisation in Surabaya, East Java. The trio are suspected of attempting to seize a shop house on Jalan Krukah Utara, Ngagelrejo, Surabaya.

Surabaya City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Luthfie Sulistiawan, named the three detained suspects as AA (36), a resident of Sidotopo Jaya 7; SL (46), a resident of Sampang who lives in Gubeng Klingsingan; and NH (45), originally from Sidodadi and residing in Simogunung Kramat Barat, Surabaya.

“We have currently made arrests, detentions, and are conducting further proceedings against the three perpetrators,” said Senior Commissioner Luthfie, as reported by detikJatim on Wednesday (5/8/2026).

However, police are still pursuing other suspects believed to have been involved in the attempted seizure of the shop house. “It is suspected that there are still other perpetrators involved who will be followed up based on witness statements and the examination of CCTV footage,” he stated.

Luthfie stressed that there is no tolerance for acts of thuggery in the City of Heroes.
