Police Arrest Suspect in Katingan Clash That Killed Three Officers, Two Still at Large

Police are continuing their investigation into the brutal attack that killed three members of the Katingan Police narcotics unit during a drug raid in Katingan, Central Kalimantan. Authorities have now arrested Saldy and Isnan Melani Pebriansyah, also known as Robi. Katingan Police Chief AKBP Dodik Hartono confirmed Robi’s arrest on Saturday afternoon at a hut in Tumbang Kalamei village, Katingan Tengah district, but declined to disclose his specific role as the investigation is ongoing. Two other suspects, Ramblan and Bio, who is Saldy’s sibling, remain at large and are being pursued by a special joint team from the National Police Headquarters, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police, and the Katingan Police. The police chief stressed that the force will not stop with the two arrests and will continue to hunt down anyone proven to be involved, ensuring they face the full force of the law. The tragic incident claimed the lives of three police officers: Ipda Anumerta Sumariyanto, Aiptu Anumerta Yudhie Perdana Putra, and Briptu Anumerta Nopandri Ramadhana. With all victims recovered, the focus has now shifted entirely to law enforcement against all parties implicated in the case that has shaken Katingan Regency.
