Police Arrest South Tangerang Narcotics Chief and Aceh Officer in Drug Case
The Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) has arrested the Head of the Narcotics Unit at the South Tangerang Police, AKP Pardiman, on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking and abuse. In addition to AKP Pardiman, Bareskrim also arrested a member of the Aceh Regional Police.
Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the arrests were led by a joint team comprising Sub-Directorate IV Head, Senior Commissioner Handik Zusen, and NIC Task Force Head, Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury. He confirmed that the South Tangerang narcotics chief was apprehended along with six of his subordinates and one officer from the Aceh Police.
The case involves allegations of illegal drug distribution, drug abuse, and the misuse of authority in narcotics law enforcement. Investigators are currently conducting further inquiries, and a full press release will be provided at a later date.
