Police Arrest Pimp in West Jakarta's Lokasari, Minor Among Victims
Police have revealed that a child was among the victims of sexual exploitation in Lokasari, West Jakarta. A pimp with the initials RS (40) has been arrested.
“We are reporting on a case we uncovered in the Lokasari area, West Jakarta. The modus operandi and motive are the same, namely sexual and economic exploitation,” said the Director of Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking Crime at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Rita Wulandari Wibowo, during a press conference on Wednesday (8/7/2026).
Senior Commissioner Rita stated there were five victims in this case. Four were adults, and one was a minor.
“From this case, we have secured five victims, one child and four adults,” she explained.
She said the five victims are suffering from health problems. In this case, the police also involved the DKI Jakarta Integrated Service Centre for the Empowerment of Women and Children (UPT PPA) to conduct assessments, provide assistance, and carry out psychological examinations of the victims.
“And also, these five victims are experiencing medical health problems, requiring more intensive treatment. In handling this, ladies and gentlemen, we involved the UPT PPA to conduct assessments and also provide assistance and psychological examinations,” she explained.
Rita explained that one person, a pimp with the initials RS (40), was arrested. According to the victims’ statements, they were sexually exploited.
“As for the perpetrator, we have secured one suspect whom they refer to as the coordinator or ‘mami’, aged 40, with the initials RS,” she said.
“All five of them have acknowledged and their statements are interconnected, stating that they were recruited by the female suspect RS. All five were also sexually exploited,” she concluded.
The information went viral on social media, as seen by detikcom on Monday (25/5). The viral post narrated that the circulating video was recorded by a Japanese national.
The person recording the video appeared to be approached by several individuals suspected of offering prostitution services. In the circulating video, they could be heard shouting and saying ‘seventeen’ and ‘virgin’ to the person recording.
