Police Arrest Man in Medan for Producing and Selling Gay Pornography for Rp50,000
Police have arrested a man with the initials BI, also known as Zilla (34), a resident of Teluk Mengkudu sub-district, Serdangbedagai Regency. The man is suspected of starring in and selling gay pornographic content via the MiChat application.
Medan Police Chief Commissioner Calvijn Simanjuntak stated that the suspect was apprehended during a targeted operation against vice. The suspect, BI, sold pornographic videos in which he himself performed.
“One of the prominent cases uncovered is a gay pornography case. The suspect sold explicit videos through the MiChat application for Rp50,000,” said Commissioner Calvijn on Wednesday (5/8).
Meanwhile, Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKBP Adrian Rizky Lubis, said the suspect BI was arrested on Tuesday (14/7) at around 5:00 PM local time in his rented room in Medan Tembung District, Medan City.
“Based on information gathered from the public, we obtained leads regarding same-sex pornographic activity. The Unit VI PPA Opsnal Team of the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit then successfully arrested suspect BI in his rented room,” he explained.
AKBP Adrian added that at the time of the arrest, the suspect was in his room waiting for a guest while wearing a black satin women’s nightgown.
“The suspect BI is alleged to have committed the criminal act of producing and trading video content containing pornography, in which the suspect also acted as the performer,” he stated.
According to him, the suspect had repeatedly produced and sold pornographic videos at a price of Rp50,000 for four videos.
“Initially, the suspect offered sexual services on the MiChat application to engage in sexual intercourse. The suspect BI then recorded and collected these videos,” he detailed.
However, allegedly due to economic factors, the suspect then traded the pornographic videos on the MiChat application.
“Not only that, the suspect BI only accepted male clients and did not accept female clients,” he concluded.
