Police Arrest Illegal Drug Seller in Depok, 510 Tablets Seized
Police arrested a man with the initials RA, an illegal drug seller, in Pengasinan, Sawangan, Depok. A total of 510 prohibited medicine tablets were seized.
The Public Relations Officer of Metro Depok Police Station, AKP Made Budi, stated that the arrest took place on Friday, 13 March at 21:00 Western Indonesian Time in Pengasinan, Sawangan, Depok. Initially, the Operational Team of Bojongsari Police Station received information from residents about the circulation of strong medicines, specifically tramadol, in the area.
“We then conducted an investigation and it proved to be accurate at the crime scene. There was a person selling strong medicine of the tramadol type,” said Made Budi in his statement on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
The suspect was successfully arrested at his residence located in Pengasinan, Sawangan, Depok. The suspect admitted to selling prohibited medicines of the tramadol and trihexpenidyl types without authorisation.
“The suspect admitted to selling and distributing strong medicines of the tramadol and trihexpenidyl types without authorisation,” he stated.
Evidence seized comprised 480 tramadol tablets and 30 trihexpenidyl tablets. The suspect was brought to Bojongsari Police Station for further investigation. The suspect was charged under Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138, paragraph (2) of Indonesian Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health.
