Police have arrested a man with the initials UA (23) in Buaran Mangga Village, Pakuhaji District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. UA was caught while attempting to transact hard drugs that were circulating without a distribution permit, or illegally.

‘The Opsnal Unit of the Neglasari Police Criminal Investigation Department successfully thwarted the circulation of thousands of Class G hard drugs suspected of being distributed illegally in the Tangerang Regency area. A man was detained while attempting to conduct a transaction using a cash on delivery (COD) system,’ said Neglasari Police Chief AKP Imron Mas’adi on Monday (6/7/2026).

UA was arrested on Friday (3/7). Imron stated that a total of 4,650 illegal pills were confiscated from the perpetrator.

‘During the operation, police seized 2,650 Tramadol pills and 2,000 Hexymer pills, along with several other pieces of evidence suspected of being used to distribute hard drugs without a permit,’ he explained.

The arrest stemmed from information received while officers were conducting observations. Responding to the information, officers immediately went to the location.

‘The team immediately conducted an investigation and tailed the target until they finally managed to secure the perpetrator in the Buaran Manggai Village area,’ he said.

During an inspection, police found thousands of the pills inside the seat of his motorcycle. The drugs were found along with clip-seal plastic bags.

‘The perpetrator and all the evidence were immediately secured at the Neglasari Police Station for further investigation,’ he stated.

Police are currently investigating the origin of the drugs and searching for other perpetrators. The suspect has been named a suspect for his actions.

‘The suspect is charged with violating the provisions of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026,’ he added.
