Police Arrest Four Youths Carrying Shabu and Tramadol During West Jakarta Patrol

Patrol began on Monday, 25 May 2026, around 1:00 AM WIB. The patrol, led by West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Kombes Twedi Aditya Benyahadi, commenced with a joint briefing. The operation was conducted with combined personnel from the police, TNI, and Satpol PP in Jalan Pangeran Tubagus Angke, Tambora, West Jakarta. ‘During this raid, four individuals were apprehended for possessing Category G drugs, including shabu (methamphetamine),’ Twedi told journalists at the scene. The four were stopped during a motorbike checkpoint as they were heading towards Kota Tua. They were taken to Tambora Police Station for further processing, with authorities investigating the source of the illegal drugs. ‘We will determine where they purchased the drugs, their intended use, and who they were with,’ he added. Twedi stated that there were approximately nine patrol and raid points conducted overnight. He mentioned that all police stations under his jurisdiction deployed personnel, with some operating at one location and others at two. ‘Each night, the patrol locations will rotate to areas previously identified as high-risk for crime,’ he said. He continued that the operation would continue until 5:00 AM WIB and is part of a routine effort across all regions. Patrols will target areas prone to crime, brawls, and drug trafficking and usage.
