Police Arrest Four Methamphetamine Syndicate Armed with Firearms and Sharp Weapons in Bima
The Bima Resort Police (Polres Bima) have arrested a syndicate of four methamphetamine dealers operating with improvised firearms and sharp weapons. One of the individuals is a recidivist involved in a previous murder case and was also on the wanted list for theft.
The Head of Narcotics Unit at Bima Police, Iptu M Fikri Dafa Alfares, identified the four suspects by their initials: SR (39), AM (26), HS (39), and FM (29). They were apprehended in Tente Village, Woha District, Bima Regency.
“The four were arrested on Friday (18/9) night at approximately 20:00 WITA in Tente Village,” Fikri told detikBali on Saturday (19/9/2026).
Fikri revealed that the arrest followed community reports regarding drug transactions occurring within the Woha District. Residents had reportedly observed the syndicate operating using a vehicle.
“Following up on that information, we conducted an investigation, visited the crime scene, and intercepted a silver Suzuki APV carrying the four suspects,” he stated.
In addition to the arrests, police seized several pieces of evidence, including 0.90 grams of methamphetamine ready for distribution. Officers also recovered one improvised firearm, four live rounds of ammunition, four sharp weapons, three mobile phones, one vehicle, and 800,000 IDR in cash.
“After being detained, the four suspects and the evidence were taken to the Bima Police Narcotics Unit for further interrogation,” Fikri added.
Based on initial interrogations, the suspect identified as SR was found to be a recidivist from a 2014 murder case. Furthermore, the man from Tolouwi Village, Monta District, Bima Regency, was also a fugitive wanted for theft.
“In addition to being a methamphetamine dealer, SR is a recidivist of a murder case in 2014 and is a wanted person for theft,” Fikri explained.
During questioning, SR admitted that the methamphetamine, improvised firearm, and ammunition belonged to him. He claimed to have obtained the drugs from an individual identified by the initials FD, a resident of Sumbawa Regency. The four suspects also admitted that the weapons were intended for use in criminal activities.
“The roles and involvement of the four suspects in the methamphetamine circulation within the Bima Police jurisdiction are still being investigated,” he concluded.
