Police Arrest Father in Klaten Accused of Sexually Abusing Two of His Own Children Since Childhood

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Klaten Police, AKP Taufik Frida Mustofa, confirmed the arrest of AK. The victims are his biological daughters. “Yes, it’s true (they are his biological daughters). We plan to release a statement on Monday,” said Taufik, as reported by detikJateng on Saturday (16 June 2026).

The victims’ lawyer, Lilik Setiawan, explained that AK was named a suspect in the case of sexual abuse against his two daughters on Thursday (14 May). The perpetrator was arrested after a report was filed by his client, who is one of the victims.

“He was arrested after a report was filed by the victim,” said Lilik from Peradin Surakarta and the support team, Awwab Yusroni.

The perpetrator had been abusing his two daughters since they were young. The case began to surface after the first victim, U (19), found the courage to report her father’s inappropriate behaviour to the authorities on Wednesday (13 May).

“U found the courage to report her father’s inappropriate behaviour to the authorities on Wednesday (13 May) at around 11:00 AM. The first victim only dared to report it after she turned 19 years old,” explained Lilik.

The victim filed a police report on Wednesday (13 May). The Klaten Police then moved to arrest AK at his home on the same day.

“After a series of investigations, AK’s status was elevated to suspect. After U reported, it was revealed that her younger sister, Y, had also experienced a similar fate and had also been subjected to acts that amounted to sexual harassment,” Lilik continued.
