Police Arrest Drug Dealer 'Boy' Who Paid Rp1.8 Billion to AKBP Didik
The Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police (Bareskrim Polri) has arrested wanted drug dealer ‘Boy’, alias Abdul Wahid, who transferred Rp1.8 billion in drug proceeds to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
The arrest was conducted by a joint team from the Narcotics Crime Directorate’s Subdirectorate 4 of Bareskrim Polri together with the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) Task Force at a rented house in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Tuesday, 12 March.
“Boy, the wanted suspect, has been apprehended,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, in a written statement.
Kevin Leleury, Head of the NIC Task Force at the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri, said that Boy was on the wanted persons list (DPO) connected to the narcotics network of Erwin Iskandar, alias Koh Erwin, in the East Nusa Tenggara region (NTB).
“Abdul Hamid, alias Boy, acted as a narcotics dealer within Erwin Iskandar’s network in the NTB region,” he explained.
He stated that Boy was arrested after successfully fleeing from Bima, NTB, to evade law enforcement proceedings.
“The joint team from Subdirectorate 4 and the NIC Task Force continues to conduct further investigation and pursuit of other parties involved, including a person known as ‘The Doctor’, who is strongly suspected to be the main controller within the narcotics distribution network,” he said.
Previously, the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri arrested KE, alias Koh Erwin, a drug dealer who supplied both money and narcotics to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Erwin was arrested whilst fleeing via an illegal maritime route to Malaysia from Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra. He reportedly resisted apprehension and had to be subdued by officers.
Koh Erwin’s network allegedly transferred Rp1 billion to Didik through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, who served as the Head of Narcotics Investigation at Bima City Police Station. The money was received by Didik over the period from June to November 2025.
Didik has since been dismissed with dishonour (PTDH) from the police force. He is currently detained at the Bareskrim Polri detention facility.
