Police Arrest Driver Who Stole Car in Cikarang
A man with the initials WIKI has been arrested for stealing a car with the registration number D-8043-OE in Cikarang, West Java. The incident began when the Cikarang Central Police received a report from the 110 emergency service from a resident named Faisal Muhammad, who reported that his car had been taken by a driver. Officers then tracked the suspect’s known phone number, which led them to the Cilangkara area in Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency. Upon arriving at the location, police found the reported missing vehicle at a rented house in Kampung Cilangkara. The suspect was also apprehended nearby, hiding behind the landlord’s house. Both the suspect and the vehicle were taken to Cikarang Central Police Station for further investigation. Cikarang Central Police Chief AKP Elia Umboh commended his personnel for their swift response to the public report received through the 110 service. He stated that rapid action is key to providing a sense of security and certainty to the community. ‘We are committed to providing the best service to the public. In this case, thanks to the quick work of officers in the field, the reported vehicle was found and the suspect was detained to be processed according to legal provisions,’ Elia said. Investigators are currently examining witnesses and the suspect, and will conduct a case review to determine the next legal steps, including the possibility of naming the suspect.
