Police arrest another suspect in attack on officers in Katingan

A joint team from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police and the Katingan Resort Police has arrested a man with the initial R, suspected of involvement in an attack on officers from the Katingan Police Narcotics Unit. The arrest was confirmed by Katingan Police Chief AKBP Dodik Hartono in Palangka Raya. He stated that the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation following the apprehension of several other suspects. The attack occurred while officers were conducting an operation against a suspected drug dealer in Tumbang Kalemei village. During the operation, officers were allegedly attacked by a number of individuals armed with sharp weapons. The incident resulted in the death of two officers, while a third officer, Aiptu Sumaryanto, remains missing and is still being searched for by the joint team. Dodik Hartono affirmed that the police are committed to thoroughly investigating the case and pursuing all other suspects involved in the attack on police personnel.
