Police Arrest 69 Suspects in Timezone Gambling Ring, Seize Rp 1.3 Billion and Gold

Polda Metro Jaya has named 69 people as suspects in a gambling operation masquerading as Timezone game arcades. The suspects range from organisers to players. ‘Investigators have named 69 suspects, comprising 3 venue owners or organisers, 19 employees, and 47 players,’ said Metro Jaya Police Chief Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri at his office on Friday (26/6/2026). The gambling dens were uncovered at two locations: Dissney Timezone in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, and Sky Timezone in Kalideres, West Jakarta. Police seized billions of rupiah and pure gold. ‘Investigators confiscated Rp 1.31 billion in cash, 21.9 grams of gold, 3 safes, game vouchers, and 139 gambling machines,’ he said. The Dissney Timezone gambling operation had been running from December 2025 to June 2026, while Sky Timezone operated from May to June 2026. ‘From these two locations, the estimated turnover from the gambling practices reached Rp 2.1 billion per month,’ he added. The raids were conducted at around 21:45 WIB on Wednesday (10/6). The perpetrators used children’s arcade game machines to run the gambling practices. The gambling offerings included games such as Mickey Mouse, roulette, spinning dragon, wind ball, bird/fish/dragon shooting, and slot machines. From Dissney Timezone, 76 gambling machines were seized, while 58 units were confiscated from Sky Timezone. Players made deposits in cash or via bank transfer, which were then converted into vouchers. From these vouchers, players exchanged them for coins to play on the gambling machines, after which the coins could be exchanged back for gold, cash, or bank transfers.
