Police Arrest 21 Drug Dealers and Intermediaries in Cilegon Within Two Months

The Narcotics Unit (Satnarkoba) of the Cilegon Police has arrested 21 perpetrators of drug abuse. Thousands of methamphetamine packages were seized from the suspects. The arrests were made during the period of May to June 2026. Police detailed that 12 were dealers, 5 were users, and 4 acted as intermediaries in the buying and selling process. “The perpetrators are now in custody at the Cilegon Police station. The evidence has been tested at the Police Forensic Laboratory. The case disclosures during the May-June 2026 period are estimated to have saved 6,185 people from potential narcotics and illegal drug abuse,” said Cilegon Deputy Police Chief Commissioner Ridzky Salatun on Friday (19/6/2026). Ridzky stated that one of the 21 perpetrators is a woman. She acted as an intermediary between dealers and buyers. The suspect, identified as ML, communicated with a drug boss in Jakarta. “This woman, ML, is an intermediary for a warehouse. We seized 763.05 grams gross weight of evidence, consisting of 330 packages and 371 ecstasy pills,” he said. Investigations revealed that drug sale transactions through ML’s account reached IDR 1 billion per month. During the arrest, police seized IDR 84 million in cash from the suspect. “This is a good case because the perpetrator was still using a personal account. We obtained the bank statement and saw the flow of funds, which was acknowledged to exceed IDR 1 billion,” he said.
